i began reading my 22nd book late in my pregnancy when it was starting to get real. being my second baby, i had all the usual concerns: was spare time for me now a thing of the past? would i ever get to write or read again? how was i going to share my love between two kids? would my three-year-old son like the baby at all? and then there was the thought that this baby could be a girl and (terror!) how would i go being a mum to a girl, when up until then, i’d always seen myself as a boy’s mum? granted, being a mum to girls in the 1860s would probably be just a little different to my own experience but i thought i’d give it a go. thought i’d finally read this classic tale that so many people (everyone, apparently… please read on) seemed to know about but one that i’d never tackled before. continue reading → 4 comments filed under 100 book challenge, uncategorized tagged as 100 book challenge, little women, louisa may alcott ← older posts follow my blog via email enter your email address to follow my blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. top posts & pages tunnel vision (friday fictioneers) a bridge is a bridge (friday fictioneers) blog stats 11,322 hits recent posts tunnel vision (friday fictioneers) january 18, 2017 a bridge is a bridge (friday fictioneers) january 11, 2017 braking point (friday fictioneers) january 4, 2017 archives january 2017 december 2016 september 2016 august 2016 june 2016 march 2016 february 2016 november 2015 october 2015 september 2015 august 2015 june 2015 may 2015 april 2015 march 2015 february 2015 january 2015 december 2014 november 2014 october 2014 september 2014 august 2014 july 2014 june 2014 may 2014 april 2014 march 2014 february 2014 january 2014 october 2013 september 2013 august 2013 july 2013 june 2013 may 2013 blogs i follow jessie ansons · newcastle, australia blog at wordpress.com. wmqcolbya great wordpress.com sitehunter story creatorsa newcastle writers grouponto the pagekickingrectalcancerintheassblogelmowriteswriting about writingbalancebackblogfinding balance after a difficult yearthe wedding rebellionindependent, candid and frugalwrite on trackmy creative flowsblogs about writing and other bits and piecescassandra pagewriter. mother. editor. geek. in no particular order.unpathed watersan encyclopaedia of distant shores - by aidan walshmondays finish the storythis is a flash fiction site where you finish the story!white girls be like..."cats, twitter, coors light, & everything in between"up from the ashesmusings on life & experiencepoetry, fiction, & non-fiction writingsalittlebitpurrythe uncensored mind of a crazy cat ladyrochelle wisoff-fields-addicted to purplegrowing older is inevitable. growing up is optional.a writer's mental notesobserving the world, taking mental notes and writing fictiontedbook100wordfictions"one day i will find the right words, and they will be simple." - jack kerouac jessie ansons blog at wordpress.com. post to cancel
